Answers to common questions, whether you're booking a hall or listing your own.
For customers
Booking, payments, and managing your account.
How do I book a hall?
Search for a hall, pick your date and shift, and send a booking request. The hall owner reviews it and either approves or declines. Once approved, you confirm by paying the advance directly to the hall.
Is the availability shown actually live?
Yes. When you send a request, that date and shift is held for you while the owner reviews it, so nobody else can book the same slot in the meantime. If the owner doesn't respond in time, the hold expires automatically and the slot opens back up.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, and you'll need to verify your email address before you can send a booking request. This gives hall owners a real way to reach you and keeps a record tied to your account.
Does Hall Slot charge me anything?
No. Browsing, comparing, and sending booking requests are free for customers. You pay the hall directly for the venue itself.
How do payments work?
Payments are arranged directly with the hall owner — cash, bank transfer, or mobile wallet. Hall Slot records what the owner reports against your booking so both sides have a shared history, but we don't hold your money.
Can I cancel a booking?
You can cancel a pending or approved booking from your dashboard at any time before the function date. Whether an advance already paid is refundable depends on the individual hall's policy, so check with them before paying.
How do I save halls I'm considering?
Tap the heart icon on any hall to add it to your favorites. You can review your saved halls anytime from Favorite Halls in your dashboard.
Where do I track my booking requests?
Your dashboard has an Upcoming Bookings tab for anything still pending or approved, and a Booking History tab once a function has taken place.
Can I leave a review?
Once your function has taken place, you can rate and review the hall from your Booking History — this helps other families choosing a venue after you.
For hall owners
Listing your hall and managing bookings.
How do I list my hall?
From the main site, click “List Your Hall”, fill in your hall's details, and submit. This creates your listing and gives you access to the owner dashboard on our business portal.
Why can't I submit my hall for approval yet?
Listings need at least one photo before they can go to review — an unphotographed hall doesn't get booked, so we hold submission until you've added one from the Gallery section of your dashboard.
How long does approval take?
Our team reviews new listings for accuracy and quality before they go live. Once approved, your hall is published and appears in search immediately. If we need changes first, you'll see the reason on your dashboard and can resubmit.
How do I respond to a booking request?
New requests appear under Pending Approval on your dashboard. Approve or decline each one — approving holds that date and shift for the customer until you record their payment.
Can other people help manage my hall?
Yes. From the Staff section you can add managers or receptionists to your hall. Managers have close to full access; receptionists can view bookings and availability but can't change hall details or photos.
How do I update pricing, availability, or amenities?
Edit your hall's details anytime from Halls & Pricing on your dashboard, and manage which dates and shifts are open from Availability.
Where can I see my earnings?
Revenue & Reports on your dashboard summarizes confirmed bookings and payments recorded against your hall.
