1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and information generated by using the platform:

• Account details: your full name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Booking information: the halls, dates, shifts, guest counts, and special requests attached to your booking requests.
• Hall listing information: if you list a hall, the venue details, photos, pricing, and staff you invite.
• Payment records: the method, amount, and reference of payments a hall owner reports for your booking — we do not collect or store card numbers or wallet credentials.
• Reviews: ratings and comments you submit for completed bookings.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser user agent, recorded against login sessions for account security.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Operate your account, including verifying your email and authenticating your login.
• Process and display booking requests between you and hall owners.
• Send transactional emails — verification links, booking updates, and password resets.
• Show hall owners the customer details needed to fulfil a booking (name, contact details, guest count).
• Maintain the security of the platform and investigate misuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who we share it with

When you send a booking request, the hall owner and their staff can see the details needed to fulfil it — your name, contact information, and the booking itself. Hall owners can see your public reviews and reply to them. We do not share your information with other third parties except where required by law, or with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as our email delivery provider), under obligations to protect it.

4. Cookies and sessions

Hall Slot uses two cookies to keep you signed in: a short-lived access token and a longer-lived refresh token. Both are httpOnly (not readable by page scripts) and used solely for authentication — we do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and booking history for as long as your account is active, so you retain a record of past bookings and reviews. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal details, except where we need to keep booking or payment records for legal or accounting reasons.

6. Your rights

You can review and update your name and phone number from your account profile at any time. To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account, email us at the address below.

7. Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, and sessions are protected with signed, httpOnly cookies. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

8. Children's privacy

Hall Slot is intended for adults arranging their own functions and is not directed at children under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
